Executive Biography

J. Alexander Blackman is a commodity markets entrepreneur who founded Moss Lake Partners, based in Houston, Texas.  J.B. began his career with a market-maker firm at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) in crude oil, gasoline and natural gas trading.  Since working in the asset management division of Deutsche Bank, Mr. Blackman has served in management positions at other Wall Street broker-dealer firms including Phoenix Commodities Group, where he served as a director and North America head of gas.  Previously, Mr. Blackman co-founded the BlackJar Fund and Standard Delta LLC, a commodities marketer and energy infrastructure developer.  He has been quoted as an industry expert in The Wall Street Journal and other publications on commodity trading, energy markets and U.S. infrastructure.
